Dermatologist
is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, nails, hair and its diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist treats diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin, scalp, hair, and nails
Dermatology is one of the highest paid medical specialties. A 2012 Medscape poll reports that the median income for dermatologists in the United States is $283,000, with a range of $100,000 to $500,000.
College, earning a bachelor's degree. Medical school, becoming a medical doctor or doctor of osteopathic medicine. Internship, 1 year. Dermatology residency program, at least 3 years.
